About the Role

As Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising mechanical installation within your assigned scope. Depending on your background and experience, this may include Cooling Water Piping (CWP), HVAC piping or plumbing systems.

You will coordinate subcontractors and help establish safe and productive workfronts by ensuring teams have the required access, materials and information, with activities sequenced appropriately.

You will also monitor daily progress against short-term plans, follow installation quality and identify constraints, resource requirements, risks and potential delays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day mechanical installation activities
  • Coordinate mechanical crews and subcontractors
  • Follow installation against approved drawings, specifications and procedures
  • Monitor workmanship and installation quality
  • Identify defects and coordinate corrective activities with QA/QC
  • Monitor progress, constraints, resource requirements, risks and delays
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC and commissioning teams
  • Support inspections, pressure testing, flushing and commissioning activities
  • Support phased system completion and structured handover
  • Enforce HSE requirements and safe working practices
  • Participate in toolbox talks, site inspections and safety reviews

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience supervising mechanical installation works on large construction projects
  • Experience with Cooling Water or HVAC piping systems, or plumbing systems
  • Relevant technical education in Mechanical Engineering, building services or a related discipline
  • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
  • Good understanding of mechanical installation methods and construction processes
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspections and testing activities
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Experience from data centres, industrial projects, mission-critical facilities, pharmaceutical projects or other technically complex environments is strongly preferred.

Relevant practical site and supervisory experience will be given significant consideration, and candidates with extensive experience may also be considered where their educational background differs.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position combines hands-on mechanical supervision with responsibility for coordination, safety, quality and progress on a technically complex project.

You will work closely with several disciplines throughout installation, testing, commissioning and handover. With flexible rotation options, covered accommodation and rotation-related travel, the opportunity is also accessible to qualified candidates based outside Northern Norway.

We hope this position matches your experience and interests, and that you see it as an exciting opportunity for further career development.
