We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Cost Controllers and Quantity Surveyors to join large-scale data center projects in Narvik. We are hiring across Junior, Intermediate, and Senior levels and are interested in candidates with backgrounds in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, cost control, or project finance.
Relocation or commuting is possible, with flexible work schedules including weekly commuting, 3 weeks on/1 week off, or 10 days on/4 days off. Accommodation and travel are provided according to the agreed work schedule.
You will work closely with project, commercial, procurement, and finance teams to monitor project financial performance, ensure accurate cost tracking, support forecasting, and maintain strong financial control throughout the project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cost & Budget Control: Monitor project costs, budgets, BOQs, purchase orders, invoices, and financial commitments.
- Quantity Take-Off & BOQ Management: Measure and validate quantities based on project drawings, design documentation, BIM models, and BOQs.
- BIM & Design Review: Use BIM models, CAD drawings, and digital tools to identify quantity discrepancies, errors, omissions, and changes.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare cost reports, forecasts, quantity analyses, and variance reports to support project decision-making.
- Variations & Financial Control: Support contract changes, variations, invoice validation, and financial settlements with accurate cost and quantity information.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, commercial, procurement, finance, contractors, and suppliers to control quantities, costs, and budgets.
Who We're Looking For
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or you are a recent graduate looking to develop your career within project cost control.
Experience or an interest in construction, engineering, design & build, or data center projects is highly relevant.
You are analytical, organised, and detail-oriented, with a strong interest in working with numbers, budgets, and project financial information. You are comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities while collaborating closely with different teams in an international project environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, Construction, or a related field
- Experience or knowledge within quantity surveying, cost control, quantity take-off, project finance, or project controls
- Understanding of BOQs, quantity measurement, and cost control principles
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation
- Experience with BIM, CAD, or digital quantity extraction tools is highly desirable
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Experience from construction, engineering, data centers, or other large-scale projects is advantageous
- Good English communication skills, written and spoken
- Structured, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams
