Whether you are already based in Northern Norway or currently working elsewhere in Norway, this role offers flexibility. Candidates who do not wish to relocate can choose from several work schedules, including weekly commuting, 3 weeks on/1 week off, or 10 days on/4 days off. Accommodation and travel arrangements are provided according to the agreed work schedule. English is the working language on site, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals from a wide range of project environments.

About the Role

As a Planner, you will develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and help ensure that activities and milestones are completed on time.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to provide clear visibility of project progress and identify potential delays or risks.

Experience from construction is an advantage, but we also welcome candidates from engineering, oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and other project-driven industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and key milestones.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track actual progress against plans and identify delays, deviations, and bottlenecks.
  • Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to keep activities aligned.
  • Reporting: Prepare schedule updates and progress reports to provide clear visibility of project status.
  • Planning & Risk Support: Identify schedule risks and support forecasting and continuous improvement of project planning.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 1-5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls within construction, engineering, industrial, infrastructure, energy, oil & gas, or similar project environments
  • Understanding of project scheduling principles and construction workflows
  • Experience using planning tools 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on deadlines
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Professional or fluent English, both written and spoken

It's a Plus if You Have

  • Experience from large-scale construction projects
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning software
  • Relevant education within engineering, construction management, project management, or related disciplines
  • Experience supporting project controls, progress reporting, or forecasting activities
  • Familiarity with large-scale or multi-disciplinary project environments
